The opportunity timeline

• Overview

ScaleTech is hiring a UI Designer in Plymouth, MN.

• Role description

Most briefs are vague on purpose, and the hands-dirty UI Designer we want at ScaleTech reads that ambiguity as an invitation, not an obstacle. Lean on 7+ years of creative expertise to own projects, collaborate with a sharp team, and earn $79,000 - $117,000.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Engineer a template system flexible enough to survive ScaleTech's rebrand
  • Translate dense product specs into visuals a tired commuter grasps instantly
  • Trace every Zeplin asset back to the brief so revisions stay honest
  • Reverse-engineer a competitor's hit to understand the mechanic, not copy the look
  • Grow a scrappy Creativity toolkit into a documented system the next hire inherits
  • Support senior designers through critique, mentorship, and shared best practices

  What You'll Bring

  • An instinct for prioritization when everything is labeled urgent
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal oversight
  • An eye for the impact-driven detail that separates fine from finished
  • Familiarity with the Plymouth market and local creative landscape
  • The grit to debug at 4pm on a Friday without complaint

ScaleTech sits at the intersection of Lottie and Color Theory, quietly powering creative workflows from its Plymouth base. Around ScaleTech, the loudest voice never automatically wins the creative argument.

For your Typography and 5 of grit, we offer $79,000 - $117,000, mentorship, benefits, and the flexibility to do Plymouth on your terms.
