The opportunity timeline

• Overview

Boston Consulting Group is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in Riverside, CA.

• Role description

Our next Senior Software Engineer will spend less time in meetings and more time in Change Management, which is how Boston Consulting Group prefers to operate. The shape of it is simple — bring 7 years and Interpersonal Skills, take home $122,000 - $178,000, and grow into whatever Boston Consulting Group builds next.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Architect fault-tolerant distributed systems leveraging Angular and Java
  • Map data flow across Boston Consulting Group's React services and spot the leaks
  • Build the Java tooling that makes every other Riverside engineer faster
  • Automate build, test, and deployment pipelines for faster release cycles
  • Drive the Angular incident postmortem that stops the Riverside outage from recurring
  • Turn Boston Consulting Group's Linux on-call noise into alerts that actually mean something

  What You'll Bring

  • The communication discipline to over-share early and trim later
  • A Boston Consulting Group mindset: scrappy today, scalable tomorrow
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Confident communicator across email, calls, and in-person meetings
  • Senior mastery of Cultural Awareness, validated by people who'd hire you again

Boston Consulting Group is a small but slow-to-anger CA company that punches well above its weight in the technology space. Slack threads here stay civil because we critique the MySQL work, not the human behind it.

The headline reads $122,000 - $178,000; the fine print is all upside, mentorship, benefits, and freedom to grow your Interpersonal Skills.

This minute, the Senior Software Engineer chair sits empty and the search is on.
