The opportunity timeline

• Overview

Blumhouse is hiring a Release Engineer in Henderson, NV.

• Role description

The Release Engineer we're hiring will inherit a technology codebase with good bones and a few skeletons; Blumhouse is honest about both. This Release Engineer opening rewards 5 years with more than $76,000 - $113,000 — it offers a real grip on the technology direction at Blumhouse.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Catch the Work Ethic race conditions that only surface under Henderson peak traffic
  • Read the GitHub Actions stack traces others skim past, and trace bugs to their root
  • Turn Blumhouse's Work Ethic on-call noise into alerts that actually mean something
  • Prototype proof-of-concept solutions for emerging technology requirements
  • Carry a mission-driven Jest feature through code freeze without breaking Blumhouse stability

  What You'll Bring

  • Willingness to commute to Henderson, NV or work flexibly as needed
  • Jest fundamentals plus the Work Ethic polish clients notice
  • The judgment to say no to good ideas at the wrong time
  • 4+ years putting Jest to work in a technology setting
  • Real curiosity about why Blumhouse customers do what they do
  • Enough Rust to be dangerous, enough Selenium to be trusted

Half the technology platforms in NV quietly depend on something Blumhouse built in Henderson with maker-minded care. The pace is energetic but humane, and we treat protecting your time off as part of the work.

The offer includes $76,000 - $113,000, remote flexibility, retirement matching, and coaching tailored to your mid-level goals.
