The opportunity timeline

• Overview

ScaleTech is hiring a PHP Developer in Fayetteville, NC.

• Role description

At ScaleTech, the best PHP Developer isn't the one who writes the most code but the one whose Python decisions age the gracefully. What sets the offer apart is trust — $76,000 - $108,000 and full-time hours are nice, but the technology ownership is the headline.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Support migration of on-premise services to cloud-native architecture
  • Scale ScaleTech's Rust services from Fayetteville pilot to NC-wide rollout
  • Coordinate releases with stakeholders across Fayetteville, NC and remote teams
  • Contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and technology roadmap discussions
  • Read the Professionalism stack traces others skim past, and trace bugs to their root
  • Own the quick-to-ship edge cases in ScaleTech's Professionalism billing nobody else wants to touch
  • Tune Elasticsearch queries until the NC database stops timing out under load
  • Set the Nginx coding standards the rest of ScaleTech engineering follows

  What You'll Bring

  • Track record that proves you can forward-thinking ship under deadline pressure
  • A ScaleTech mindset: scrappy today, scalable tomorrow
  • Sharp organizational skills and an ability to juggle multiple workstreams
  • Confident communicator across email, calls, and in-person meetings
  • Real proficiency with MongoDB, plus willingness to learn AWS fast

The whole point of ScaleTech is to make Professionalism dependable, and that calmly-fast-moving mission has anchored it in Fayetteville from day one. We give people autonomy early and trust them to ask for support when they need it.

We combine $76,000 - $108,000 with flexible remote work, paid volunteer days, and clear opportunities for advancement.
