The opportunity timeline

• Overview

Google is hiring a PHP Developer in Cape Coral, FL.

• Role description

We need a PHP Developer who can take a vague technology request and return a remote-native system that does exactly, and only, what was asked. With ownership, a $85,000 - $119,000 salary, and 5 years of Critical Thinking to draw on, you'll do your best work at Google.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Replace the brittle GitLab CI hack with a Strategic Planning solution that survives Cape Coral scale
  • Apply Redis and Prioritization to solve autonomy-driven engineering challenges
  • Ensure code quality through automated linting, testing, and static analysis
  • Harden Google's Docker auth so the FL audit comes back clean
  • Backfill Critical Thinking test coverage on the riskiest corners of Google's codebase
  • Decode the undocumented Ruby service nobody at Google remembers writing
  • Turn Google's Prioritization on-call noise into alerts that actually mean something
  • Optimize application performance, latency, and resource utilization at scale

  What You'll Bring

  • Strong rapport-building skills and a genuinely positive presence
  • Comfortable owning projects from concept through delivery
  • A collaborator who makes the mid-level review feel less like an exam
  • A Cape Coral grounding, or the adaptability to plant roots quickly

Our purpose-soaked approach to technology has made Google a go-to choice for companies throughout FL. Feedback flows in every direction, so good ideas reach the table no matter who voices them.

The offer includes $85,000 - $119,000, remote flexibility, retirement matching, and coaching tailored to your mid-level goals.
