• Overview

Business Solutions Group is hiring a Lead Software Engineer in Chesapeake, VA.

• Role description

Business Solutions Group keeps a small, opinionated engineering team in Chesapeake, and the next opinion we need belongs to a Lead Software Engineer. Sized right for 7 years of Laravel, this VA role pays $118,000 - $177,000 and opens a path you actually want to walk.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Apply Microsoft Azure and Accountability to solve entrepreneurial engineering challenges
  • Pull Business Solutions Group's Microsoft Azure stack out of the VA region before the migration deadline
  • Automate the manual Nginx chores that quietly drain Chesapeake, VA engineering hours
  • Own the data-honest Nginx subsystem that the rest of Business Solutions Group quietly depends on
  • Document the Angular system so the next lead engineer onboards in days, not weeks

  What You'll Bring

  • Critical thinking skills and sound, independent judgment
  • Sharp written and verbal communication, tested under scrutiny
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • 9 years of Change Management práctica, plus a hunger for what's next
  • A teammate's instinct to unblock others before yourself
  • Hands-on experience with modern Change Management workflows and tooling
  • Written communication clear enough to survive a forwarded email chain

Inside Business Solutions Group's Chesapeake headquarters, a purpose-soaked team treats every Microsoft Azure bug like a personal insult worth fixing tonight. The team trusts each other to do the right thing without constant oversight or micromanagement.

We are offering $118,000 - $177,000, a clear growth track, hands-on mentorship, and the kind of flexibility that keeps VA talent happy.
