The opportunity timeline

• Overview

Ford is hiring a Game Developer in Casa Grande, AZ.

• Role description

The Game Developer we're hiring will inherit a technology codebase with good bones and a few skeletons; Ford is honest about both. The headline is $76,000 - $111,000, but the story is ownership — technology work you steer at Ford after just 4 years.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full lifecycle of technology systems from prototype to production
  • Ship Team Leadership experiments fast, kill the losers, and double down on what sticks
  • Lead the Emotional Intelligence migration that finally retires Ford's results-oriented legacy stack
  • Wire CI/CD APIs to Elasticsearch consumers so data lands where Casa Grande teams expect it
  • Automate the manual Emotional Intelligence chores that quietly drain Casa Grande, AZ engineering hours

  What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years putting Jenkins to work in a technology setting
  • The judgment to say no to good ideas at the wrong time
  • A Casa Grande network, or the hustle to build one from scratch
  • Pattern recognition earned across many technology engagements
  • Experience translating Rust complexity for a non-technical audience
  • Enough PostgreSQL to be dangerous, enough Rust to be trusted
  • Proven follow-through, measured in shipped things rather than good intentions

Ford is the kind of small-but-mighty Casa Grande company that technology engineers leave their old jobs to join. We celebrate the person who asks the dumb question that saves the whole technology project.

Take $76,000 - $111,000, add a mentor invested in your rise, layer on benefits and remote options, and that is the Ford offer in one breath.

Marked current today, the freelance opportunity at Ford is accepting candidates.

The team in Casa Grande, AZ is one strong Game Developer away from complete, and that could be you.
