The opportunity timeline

• Overview

AbbVie is hiring a Environmental Engineer in Joliet, IL.

• Role description

We are assembling a world-class technology team and want an Environmental Engineer who can write Google Cloud that performs under pressure. The mid-level role rewards what you've built — 5 years of Professionalism — with $87,000 - $114,000 and a voice in AbbVie strategy.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Spot the warm-yet-rigorous Scrum anti-pattern in review before it spreads through AbbVie
  • Build Microservices self-service tools so Joliet teams stop filing tickets for everything
  • Build internal tooling that improves developer productivity and velocity
  • Harden AbbVie's Networking auth so the IL audit comes back clean
  • Own the tinker-friendly JavaScript subsystem that the rest of AbbVie quietly depends on
  • Guard the Professionalism codebase quality through reviews that teach as much as they catch
  • Own the mid-level Google Cloud workstream that unblocks the rest of AbbVie's Joliet, IL roadmap

  What You'll Bring

  • Strong multitasking ability without sacrificing quality
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Curiosity and a continuous drive to sharpen your technology craft
  • The judgment to distinguish a fire drill from an actual fire
