• Role description

We need an Enterprise Architect who can take a vague technology request and return an endlessly-iterating system that does exactly, and only, what was asked. This Enterprise Architect role hands mid-level talent $71,000 - $107,000, a freelance arrangement in VA, and the latitude to call the shots.

  • Trace a supportive technology bug across three Delegation services to the one bad line
  • Partner with QA to define test coverage and catch regressions early

  • Re-architect the technology flow so Networking handles ten times Lynchburg's current load
  • Translate RabbitMQ metrics into the one chart Civic Innovation Lab leadership checks each morning
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents across Git-based applications
  • Trim Civic Innovation Lab's cloud bill by right-sizing the Webpack infrastructure in Lynchburg, VA

  • Comfortable presenting ideas to stakeholders at every level
  • Meticulous attention to detail across every deliverable
