The opportunity timeline

• Overview

Airbnb is hiring a DevOps Engineer in Vallejo, CA.

• Role description

Help Airbnb engineer the next generation of our platform, one well-tested Docker commit at a time. This contract DevOps Engineer role offers a $102,000 - $153,000 salary, real ownership over your work, and a clear path to grow alongside a team that ships.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Spot the transparent CloudFormation anti-pattern in review before it spreads through Airbnb
  • Reverse-engineer the fiercely-supportive Cost Optimization format Airbnb inherited and never documented
  • Configure and manage infrastructure as code across staging and production
  • Own data integrity across Airbnb's ArgoCD stores so Vallejo numbers never lie
  • Turn Airbnb's Amazon ECS on-call noise into alerts that actually mean something
  • Sit with technology users in Vallejo to learn what the ArgoCD tool really needs
  • Stand up observability so Airbnb sees failures before customers in CA do

  What You'll Bring

  • A CA sensibility, or genuine curiosity about this market
  • Storytelling instincts that turn data into a decision
  • Experience translating Innovation complexity for a non-technical audience
  • Hands-on experience with modern Cost Optimization workflows and tooling

The reputation Airbnb enjoys across CA wasn't bought; the flexible Vallejo team earned it one technology project at a time. Disagreement is welcome here, but once we decide, the whole Airbnb team rows in the same direction.

The offer rewards both ends, $102,000 - $153,000 for your Innovation today and mentorship for the mid-level leader you become tomorrow.

Hiring is happening now, not last quarter, for this DevOps Engineer seat.

The DevOps Engineer position won't stay open forever, so make your move while it's live.
