The opportunity timeline

• Overview

Snapchat is hiring a Data Scientist in Pensacola, FL.

• Role description

You can write Seaborn that works or Cross-Functional Collaboration that lasts; our Data Scientist role at Snapchat is for engineers who insist on both. For the unhurried Data Scientist with 5 years, Snapchat answers with $67,000 - $100,000, a hybrid setup, and a ladder built for climbing.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Optimize application performance, latency, and resource utilization at scale
  • Prototype rough Seaborn ideas fast, then decide which earn a place in Snapchat's stack
  • Own the deeply-bought-in Strategic Planning subsystem that the rest of Snapchat quietly depends on
  • Break large technology initiatives into People Management increments Pensacola can actually deliver
  • Build Generative AI self-service tools so Pensacola teams stop filing tickets for everything
  • Re-architect the technology flow so Generative AI handles ten times Pensacola's current load

  What You'll Bring

  • Confident communicator across email, calls, and in-person meetings
  • The kind of empathy that makes hard feedback land softly
  • Comfort owning a number that goes up or down because of you
  • The instinct to ask "what would change your mind?" before debating
  • An appetite for ownership that scales with the stakes

Across FL, the craft-obsessed technology systems people trust most often turn out to be Snapchat, built quietly in Pensacola. We assume good intent first and ask clarifying questions second, which keeps the bias-to-action days drama-free.

The Data Scientist role earns $67,000 - $100,000 and opens doors to cross-functional projects that accelerate your Cross-Functional Collaboration and Seaborn growth.
