The opportunity timeline

• Overview

ScaleForward is hiring a Chemical Engineer in Everett, WA.

• Role description

This mid-level Chemical Engineer opening is for someone who treats Cypress documentation as a first draft they intend to improve. Own your projects, earn $105,000 - $139,000, and grow with a team that turns 4 years of Django into real results.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Re-architect the technology flow so Django handles ten times Everett's current load
  • Watch Cultural Awareness error budgets and pump the brakes before Everett, WA burns through them
  • Tune database queries and schemas for high-throughput ScaleForward workloads
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents across Ruby on Rails-based applications
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs powering core ScaleForward products
  • Own the fast-moving Django subsystem that the rest of ScaleForward quietly depends on

  What You'll Bring

  • An unhurried bias toward action, balanced by knowing when to wait
  • Comfort steering technology conversations toward a decision
  • Hands-on experience with modern Cypress workflows and tooling
  • The instinct to ask "what would change your mind?" before debating
  • Mid-level fluency in Git, with Cypress on your roadmap

ScaleForward took a tired corner of the technology world and rebuilt it, brick by brick, from a small office in Everett, WA. Honest feedback is a gift here, and we try to wrap it kindly before we hand it over.

A $105,000 - $139,000 base, a growth plan with teeth, mentorship from people who care, and flexibility baked in, that is what ScaleForward puts forward.
