The opportunity timeline

• Overview

Costco is hiring a AWS Engineer in Woodbury, MN.

• Role description

Picture an AWS Engineer role where Amazon EKS expertise is the floor, not the ceiling, and Costco in Woodbury, MN is building exactly that. The center of gravity here is ownership — $103,000 - $165,000 and a remote schedule orbit it, and 6 years gets you in the door.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Replace the brittle Serverless hack with an AWS Lambda solution that survives Woodbury scale
  • Document the AWS Lambda system so the next senior engineer onboards in days, not weeks
  • Configure and manage infrastructure as code across staging and production
  • Land Disaster Recovery performance wins Costco can measure in MN retention numbers
  • Untangle the Amazon EKS dependency knots that have slowed Woodbury releases for months
  • Translate remote-native business requirements into technical specifications and tasks
  • Prototype rough Attention Management ideas fast, then decide which earn a place in Costco's stack

  What You'll Bring

  • Storytelling instincts that turn data into a decision
  • Roughly 7+ years operating in a similar AWS Engineer position
  • Familiarity with Public Speaking and related tools or frameworks
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal oversight

We're Costco — a make-it-better Woodbury, MN outfit that treats PagerDuty less like a feature and more like a craft. You won't find performance theater here; we care what you shipped, not how busy you looked.

Earn a $103,000 - $165,000 base while a mentor accelerates your jump from senior to lead, with benefits and flexibility along for the ride.

This AWS Engineer posting is fresh, active, and open for business right now.

If Woodbury is where you want to build a career, Costco wants to hear from you.
